Shamir Chauhan

Shamir joined GRID Alternatives in 2008 as the Bay Area Project Manager. In his initial role he was responsible for the management of the in-house installation pipeline, construction scheduling and design. In 2015, Shamir joined the Headquarters team to kick off our Multifamily Housing program. Prior to GRID Alternatives, Shamir had a career in affordable housing development where he helped develop affordable housing for diverse populations including low-income seniors, farm workers in the Central Coast, adults with developmental disabilities and individuals at-risk of homelessness. When he’s not at GRID, Shamir enjoys taking things apart in his garage.
