Michael Moomjy

Michael started at GRID Alternatives as a volunteer before being accepted to the SolarCorps Fellowship program on the Project Management team. Having completed his fellowship, Michael is now the Communications Coordinator for the New York Tri-State office. Originally from Montclair, NJ, Michael has spent most of his professional and academic life in New York City. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management from NYU’s Stern School of Business and his Master of Science in Sustainability Management from Columbia’s Earth Institute with a focus on renewable energy. Michael is driven by the potential of solar energy to power the civilization of the future while lifting people out of poverty the world over. Outside of solar, Michael enjoys cooking and physical fitness and speaks German and French.
