Ahna Johnson
SolarCorps Construction Fellow
Ahna was most recently working for a bike-based compost company in New Haven, CT, near her hometown of Hamden, before she joined the GRID family in September 2016. Ahna has worked in the solar industry over the last five years with SolarCity, Verengo Solar, and 64 Solar as a project manager and a permitting and interconnection specialist, and she is excited to learn about installing and designing systems in her position at GRID.
Ahna is a proud graduate of Fairfield University where she earned Bachelor of Science degrees in Physics and Information Systems. She was thrilled to win two MAAC Tournament Championships with her teammates on the Fairfield women’s soccer team and she had the experience of a lifetime playing for one season with Vittsjö GIK in Sweden after graduation.
Ahna is happiest when working in her summer garden and spending time outside with friends and family biking, running, hiking, swimming, boating, and playing games.
