Enphase volunteers help GRID install solar on the Little Lake Grange community center in Willits, CA.
23 SunPower employee volunteers were on site in March to help bring solar to Marcus Garvey Commons--a 22-unit multifamily development in West Oakland.
GRID Alternatives Mid-Atlantic recently hosted its first Troops to Solar build in Virginia! GRID Alternatives and HeroHomes teamed up to save money for a veteran family with equipment and system design donated by Standard Solar. The installation was completed by veteran and active duty military job trainees, as part of GRID’s Troops to Solar initiative, supported by Wells Fargo.

David Meza's dad wasn't home when volunteers from Enphase came out to Windsor to install solar on his roof. He was out in the fields of Sonoma County picking grapes, hard work that has sustained him and his family of eight since they came to California from Jalisco, Mexico decades ago.
Getting out into the field with GRID Alternatives is always a highlight of the school week for students at Yosemite High School in Merced, but this week, it had extra meaning. Not only were the students working side-by-side with students from the Merced Adult School to install solar for a former Adult School classmate, but they also got a visit from State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tom Torlakson.
On a dark and chilly Saturday morning 120 volunteers and community supporters devoted their time helping five families receive solar on their homes in Biola, California.
In a new and groundbreaking partnership, GRID Alternatives and Grand Valley Power (GVP) teamed up this year for nation’s first community solar array dedicated exclusively to low-income customers. The project has generated interest from utilities and policy-makers across the country, and Grand Valley Power and GRID Alternatives were invited by United States Congressman Jared Polis to brief a congressional working group on Innovation in Alternatives Energies on May 6.
