SOLARTHON 2008

GRID Alternatives 3rd annual SOLARTHON fundraising event was a great success! During this event we completed 8 solar electric systems for low income families in an Habitat for Humanity East Bay development, while raising approximately $70,000.

Our sincere gratitude goes out to the individual fundraisers and corporate groups who sponsored individual homes and volunteered to complete the solar electric installations at this event. Our corporate sponsors include Salesforce.com, PG & E, Google, Innovalight, MMA Renewable Ventures, Washington Mutual, IBEW local 595, and Environ.

GRID Alternatives also wants to acknowledge the community businesses that provided in-kind donations of food and drinks for the event. These include Pete's Coffee of Fruitvale, Noah's Bagels Lakeshore, Arizmendi Bakery, Whole Foods Oakland, Sweet Adeline Bakery of Berkeley, Alameda Natural Grocery, Function Drinks, Trader Joes of Alameda, and Nob Hill Foods.
