This year’s Central Valley Solarthon was held on Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Dinuba, California. One hundred and forty volunteers composed of community members of the region, financial supporters, and students converged on this community located 40 miles southeast of Fresno. Visitors included Dinuba’s Mayor Emilio Morales as well as Dinuba’s friendly and dedicated police officers who came by to offer assistance and introduce themselves to Tom Esqueda, GRID Executive Director in the Central Valley. GRID’s 140 plus volunteers could not have been more warmly received. Thank you Dinuba for the hospitality from both the Mayor, who stayed for the entire event, and the police department.
