Solarthon is GRID Alternatives' annual solar installation block party and fundraiser. Every year we bring together hundreds of individual and corporate participants to install solar for several homes in one day, in partnership with local low-income homeowners. This year we're hard at work planning Solarthon events around the state, in conjunction with the Single-family Affordable Solar Homes (SASH) Program, under the auspices of the California Public Utilities Commission. Sign up to participate in a Solarthon in your region by clicking on the links below.
The Bay Area Solarthon held on July 31st was a huge success! To learn more about the West Oakland event and sponsors click on the link above. The next regional Solarthon is right around the corner and will be held on October 2nd in Fresno. Individual and corporate sponsorships are selling out fast, so sign-up now if you still want to participate. To find out more about how you can help bring the benefits of solar power to low-income families by participating in the Central Valley event, contact Tom Esqueda at tesqueda@gridalternatives.org or 559-261-4743 X 105.
