GRID Alternatives has been selected by the California Public Utilities Commission to administer the Disadvantaged Communities - Single-family Solar Homes (DAC-SASH) program. GRID Alternatives is featured in the new documentary, Paris to Pittsburgh, from Bloomberg Philanthropies and Radical Media. From Iowa to Orlando to Los Angeles, Paris to Pittsburgh showcases how Americans are demanding and developing climate change solutions. Hear from David Andrade, Volunteer Coordinator with GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles, about how he got his start in the solar industry with GRID's re-entry job training program.

KPBS covered a two-day NAACP Solar Equity Initiative job training event in San Diego. GRID Alternatives San Diego and Sunrun recently partnered with NAACP San Diego and the Alliance for African Assistance to provide solar job training and a no-cost solar panel installation as part of the initiative.
