GRID Alternatives Mid-Atlantic hosted its Solar Soirée on Sept. 19 in celebration of the organization’s five-year anniversary, honoring local champions of environmental justice, social justice, and workforce diversity a day ahead of the climate strike in Washington.

GRID’s Global Climate Strike Week of Action!

As an ally for this year’s Global Climate Strike, GRID Bay Area has compiled a list of daily pledges in solidarity with the climate activists that are walking out of their homes and workplaces to demand an end to the age of fossil fuels. We may not all be able to strike, but we can pledge to make a small change each day during the week of September 20th -27th to limit our carbon footprint and show our support! Pick a day, pick a pledge, or make your own - but we hope you’ll join us and millions of activists around the world in supporting climate justice for everyone!

9/10/2019 - Women of Renewable Industries and Sustainable Energy (WRISE) and GRID Alternatives announce winners of solar fellowship

WRISE and GRID Alternatives today announced their selection of six women for the 2019 Rising Women SPI Fellowship. The fellowship is an opportunity for women from diverse backgrounds who are interested in solar careers to visit Solar Power International for networking, mentorship and solar education.
