Vice President of Program Administration
Cathleen Monahan oversees GRID Alternatives’ administration of California’s $162M SASH program, a sub-contractor program, and a team of project managers orchestrating over 1,500 single-family solar installations annually. She also regularly submits proposals, advice letters, and comments to the California Public Utilities Commission. Cathleen is committed to increasing equity and access to solar energy technologies, and focuses the bulk of her work on the California legislative and regulatory space. She co-leads a working group comprised of non-profits, developers, solar advocates, and environmental justice organizations collaborating on inclusive solar policies, and serves as an elected member of the California Solar Energy Industries Association’s Board of Directors, and the chair of its Diversity committee. Cathleen holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Science and Policy from Columbia University, and a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz. Cathleen is a frequent speaker and panelist at various industry events, typically focused on increasing access to solar technologies for low-income communities.
