Tras graduarse, se inscribi\u00f3 en el Colegio de Tecnolog\u00eda de Nueva York en Brooklyn para estudiar inform\u00e1tica y comenz\u00f3 a trabajar 30 horas a la semana en un supermercado CVS para ayudar a mantener a su familia. Despu\u00e9s de una lesi\u00f3n accidental que le hizo abrir una caja en el trabajo, Miguel perdi\u00f3 un examen final, abandon\u00f3 la escuela y fue despedido de su trabajo. Miguel se encontr\u00f3 nuevamente en una situaci\u00f3n de p\u00e9rdida, frustraci\u00f3n y sin direcci\u00f3n. Gracias a la ayuda de sus mentores y a la Green City Force, un programa de AmeriCorps con enfoque en el campo ambiental, Miguel consigui\u00f3 una pasant\u00eda en GRID y fue contratado poco despu\u00e9s por On-Force Solar, una empresa de energ\u00eda solar en el Bronx. Hoy, Miguel espera iniciar un negocio que combine sus pasiones por la agricultura sostenible y las alternativas energ\u00e9ticas.
