Salvador Torres tiene el trabajo de sus sue\u00f1os. Tras 400 horas de voluntariado, consigui\u00f3 un trabajo en una empresa local de instalaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda solar. Estaba emocionado por tener un salario, pero le faltaba la satisfacci\u00f3n de servir a comunidades desfavorecidas y trabajar con otros aprendices que hab\u00eda sentido al trabajar como voluntario en GRID. As\u00ed que cuando se abri\u00f3 una plaza de supervisor de instalaciones solares en la filial de GRID Alternatives en el \u00e1rea de Los \u00c1ngeles, no dud\u00f3 en aceptarla.<\/p>\n

Ahora pasa casi cada d\u00eda dando formaci\u00f3n a hombres y mujeres como \u00e9l, ayud\u00e1ndolos a adquirir las habilidades necesarias para conseguir los empleos de sus sue\u00f1os en el sector solar. \u201cCuando se abri\u00f3 la oportunidad de trabajar en GRID, sab\u00eda que no pod\u00eda rechazarla, era lo que originalmente quer\u00eda hacer y lo que me gusta hacer\u201d, dice Torres, \u201cy ahora mi objetivo principal es conseguir que la gente tenga trabajo\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n

El s\u00e1bado 2 de agosto, Torres tuvo la oportunidad de agradecer personalmente a una empresa que hizo posible todo esto. Durante el evento GRID Alternatives Solarthon en Santa Ana, Wells Fargo entreg\u00f3 a GRID $100.000 por sus esfuerzos de desarrollo de la fuerza laboral en California, y Sal mismo pudo dirigir a los voluntarios de la empresa en una instalaci\u00f3n para la familia Rubacalva.
