Lo investigamos y sab\u00edamos que era algo que quer\u00edamos hacer, pero no era financieramente viable hasta que GRID Alternatives se ofreci\u00f3 a ayudarnos.<\/p>\n

\u00bfC\u00f3mo se sent\u00eda al tener la oportunidad de instalar energ\u00eda solar en el tejado de su casa? <\/strong><\/p>\n

Excelente! He llegado a ser un experto en energ\u00eda solar. Siempre salgo al exterior para comprobar el contador y ver c\u00f3mo cambian los n\u00fameros a lo largo del tiempo. Ha sido una gran experiencia para m\u00ed. Tenemos unos ingresos muy limitados y ha sido una bendici\u00f3n poder reducir nuestras facturas cada mes. Mi marido trabaja a tiempo completo como bibliotecario y yo me quedo en casa para educar a nuestros tres hijos en casa, as\u00ed que ha sido una gran experiencia para ellos. <\/p>\n

\u00bfCu\u00e1l era su factura de electricidad antes de instalar un sistema solar fotovoltaico? \u00bfCu\u00e1l es ahora?<\/strong><\/p>\n

\u00a1Hace tan solo ayer miraba el recibo y me daba cuenta de cu\u00e1nto dinero hemos ahorrado! Hemos pasado de gastar entre $40 y $50 al mes en electricidad a obtener entre $15 y $25 con el cheque de rebajas que nos env\u00eda Xcel Energy cada mes.<\/p>\n

\u00bfQu\u00e9 planeas hacer con los ahorros?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hay un par de cosas. GRID recomend\u00f3 que abramos una cuenta de ahorros, y hemos estado intentando poner algo de dinero en esta cuenta cada mes. Adem\u00e1s, ya que hemos comprado una casa con electrodom\u00e9sticos antiguos, nos hemos suscrito a un seguro de electrodom\u00e9sticos a trav\u00e9s de Xcel para que no nos quedemos sin caldera ni frigor\u00edfico si uno de ellos se aver\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Me encant\u00f3 estar en la parte superior del tejado para trabajar junto a los otros voluntarios de GRID. \u00a1Solo ver c\u00f3mo todo se integra era incre\u00edble! Tambi\u00e9n hice un mont\u00f3n de cocina y de pasteler\u00eda para alimentar a los voluntarios y mantenerlos motivados. Al final del d\u00eda, cuando les agradec\u00ed a todos por venir a trabajar en nuestra casa, los voluntarios respondieron diciendo: \u201cNo, gracias por dejar que sali\u00e9ramos y aprendi\u00e9ramos las habilidades que necesitamos para conseguir trabajo en esta industria\u201c. \u00a1Fue simplemente incre\u00edble formar parte de todo esto!<\/p>\n
