GRID Alternatives, en colaboraci\u00f3n con el PG&E Pacific Energy Center y NorCal Solar, organiz\u00f3 su tercera edici\u00f3n anual de la Feria de Empleo Solar en el marco de la conferencia Intersolar North America en San Francisco. Este evento reuni\u00f3 a m\u00e1s de 250 personas en busca de empleo con cerca de 20 empresas del sector solar que est\u00e1n buscando personal activamente en la zona de la Bah\u00eda.<\/p>\n

Participaron empresas de todos los tama\u00f1os, presentando una amplia gama de puestos de trabajo actualmente disponibles. Muchos estaban recopilando curr\u00edculums y celebrando entrevistas con candidatos cualificados en el mismo lugar. Para Henry Sheridan, ex voluntario de GRID Alternatives y ahora propietario de SePac Energy Systems, Inc., la feria laboral le brind\u00f3 la oportunidad de conectarse con posibles candidatos para una nueva instalaci\u00f3n. \u201cAhora necesitamos desesperadamente gente capacitada con las habilidades y experiencia adecuadas. Los voluntarios de GRID tienen eso\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n

Los solicitantes de empleo tambi\u00e9n tuvieron la oportunidad de desarrollar habilidades blandas a trav\u00e9s de entrevistas simuladas, redes sociales y revisiones de curr\u00edculums liderados por voluntarios de empresas solares de la Regi\u00f3n de la Bah\u00eda. Como comparti\u00f3 uno de los solicitantes de empleo, \u201cNo me sent\u00ed apresurado. Fue posible tomarme mi tiempo y hablar con todas las empresas que me interesaban, adem\u00e1s de obtener comentarios valiosos sobre mi curr\u00edculum.\u201d<\/p>\n

Adem\u00e1s, como parte de nuestros continuos esfuerzos en el desarrollo de la fuerza laboral y Iniciativa RISE<\/a>, Con SunEdison, hemos organizado un panel sobre diversidad en el lugar de trabajo. El panel fue moderado por Erika Symmonds, Directora de Desarrollo de Recursos Humanos de GRID Alternatives, y cont\u00f3 con la participaci\u00f3n de Rob Black, Director Senior de Relaciones con la Comunidad de PG&E, y Kerinia Cusick, Vicepresidenta de Financierizaci\u00f3n de SunEdison. Los panelistas discutieron la importancia de crear un lugar de trabajo inclusivo y diverso, as\u00ed como los esfuerzos que sus respectivas empresas realizan para lograr este objetivo.<\/p>\n
