Estos nuevos contratados son parte del programa SolarCorps de GRID, resultado de la colaboraci\u00f3n de GRID con AmeriCorps. \u00a1Tres nuevos Fellows de SolarCorps Construction y un nuevo Fellow Voluntario de SolarCorps ahora forman parte de nuestra familia de Mid-Atlantic!<\/p>\n<p>Dos de nuestros becarios de construcci\u00f3n del programa SolarCorps, Dominic y Keon, est\u00e1n muy familiarizados con la oficina de GRID. Durante el verano, se formaron con GRID a trav\u00e9s de <a href=\"http:\/\/gridalternatives.org\/es\/regions\/midatlantic\/news\/goodbye-and-welcome\/\" target=\"_blank\">Programa Ambiental de la Zona Verde<\/a>. Trabajando junto a los empleados de GRID durante seis semanas, participaron en todos los aspectos del trabajo de la organizaci\u00f3n, desde la recopilaci\u00f3n de datos y la comunicaci\u00f3n con los clientes hasta la instalaci\u00f3n y construcci\u00f3n de sistemas solares. \u00a1Despu\u00e9s del verano, GRID ofreci\u00f3 a estos dos talentosos becarios puestos de trabajo a tiempo completo en el programa SolarCorps Construction! Keon, cuyo sue\u00f1o es abrir su propio restaurante, dice: \u201cMi misi\u00f3n siempre ha sido ayudar a alguien que lo necesite, y siento que puedo hacerlo aqu\u00ed, especialmente instalando paneles solares. Este trabajo me est\u00e1 ayudando a seguir trabajando en lo que realmente quiero hacer, que es abrir mi propio restaurante (con energ\u00eda solar, por supuesto) y ense\u00f1ar a la gente sobre alimentos org\u00e1nicos\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro otro nuevo miembro del programa SolarCorps, Dominic, le gusta ver carreras de autos, f\u00fatbol y pel\u00edculas de terror mientras come donuts. \u201cEstoy muy emocionado de poder trabajar para comunidades desatendidas y no puedo esperar a ver los rostros de los propietarios de viviendas cuando vean los resultados\u201d, dice Dominic. \u201cEste a\u00f1o, tengo la intenci\u00f3n de aprender mucho sobre energ\u00eda solar: c\u00f3mo funciona el sector y todo lo relacionado con ello. Fue voluntaria de GRID en 10 instalaciones, trabajando tanto en el techo como en el equipo de tierra. Nadine es una excelente incorporaci\u00f3n a la familia de GRID; nativa de Austria, habla tres idiomas y antes trabaj\u00f3 para una organizaci\u00f3n sin fines de lucro dedicada a la energ\u00eda renovable. Durante seis meses en Guatemala, trabaj\u00f3 en el mantenimiento de sistemas solares y la construcci\u00f3n de m\u00e1quinas alimentadas por bicicletas mientras viv\u00eda en una caba\u00f1a en el bosque fuera de la red el\u00e9ctrica. Sobre su experiencia laboral en GRID, Nadine dice: \u201c\u00a1Estoy muy emocionada de ser parte de la soluci\u00f3n y no del problema!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Nuestro voluntario de SolarCorps es Alexis, quien particip\u00f3 en el programa GZEP durante el verano como L\u00edder de Equipo del Departamento de Energ\u00eda y Medio Ambiente del Distrito. A trav\u00e9s de su trabajo con el Departamento de Energ\u00eda y Medio Ambiente del Distrito, organiz\u00f3 y dirigi\u00f3 a los participantes del GZEP durante todo el verano.
