Tambi\u00e9n estaba preocupada de que hubiera demasiados voluntarios en el trabajo y que no hubiera nada que hacer para m\u00ed\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Una vez que Pat lleg\u00f3 a su primera instalaci\u00f3n, sus miedos se disiparon. \u201cMe sent\u00ed extasiada. Es muy f\u00e1cil ser voluntaria de GRID\u201d, dijo ella. \u201cLos supervisores de instalaciones solares (SIS) son muy solidarios y su compromiso con la seguridad es evidente. \u00a1Al final de mi primer d\u00eda, sent\u00ed que mi confianza aument\u00f3 enormemente!\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Desde noviembre de 2016, Pat ha realizado casi 70 horas de voluntariado para GRID. \u201cSoy una gran fan\u00e1tica del proceso de trabajo de GRID y me encant\u00f3 la acogida que los equipos del SIS tuvieron hacia m\u00ed como mujer\u201d, dijo. \u201cTrabaj\u00e9 con varios supervisores diferentes y la consistencia fue impresionante. Todos los supervisores me respetaron como persona, asegur\u00e1ndose de que aprendiera a mi propio ritmo y al mismo tiempo me animaban constantemente a ampliar mis habilidades\u201d.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>El mensaje de Pat a las mujeres que est\u00e1n considerando una carrera en el sector solar es claro: \u201cSuban al tejado y se vayan con una buena base de conocimientos sobre c\u00f3mo funciona el sol\u201d, declar\u00f3 ella. \u201cAhora mismo estoy aprendiendo a presentar la orientaci\u00f3n sobre seguridad en espa\u00f1ol y espero alcanzar el puesto de L\u00edder del Equipo pronto.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>La industria solar est\u00e1 llegando a mujeres con diversos puestos en un sector de la econom\u00eda que crece a un ritmo de entre 15 y 20 por ciento cada a\u00f1o.
