\u00a1Cuatro ciudades, 47 voluntarios y mucha energ\u00eda solar! A principios de este mes, los empleados de NRG Energy se pusieron manos a la obra y recorrieron los tejados de California con GRID como parte de su anualidad de voluntariado positivaNRG. \u00a1Con su ayuda, cinco m\u00e1s familias desde San Diego hasta Sacramento pueden ahora disfrutar de energ\u00eda limpia y ahorros en la factura de la electricidad generados por el sol!<\/p>\n

Los voluntarios de NRG iniciaron las labores en Sacramento el 17 de mayo, ayudando a instalar paneles de prueba, cortar los ra\u00edles y colocar los racks para el sistema de la familia Del Rio Torres. Al d\u00eda siguiente, otro equipo ayud\u00f3 a instalar paneles solares para no una, sino dos familias de Atascadero como parte del evento anual de instalaci\u00f3n y fiesta de Solarthon de GRID Central Coast. Y en San Diego, m\u00e1s voluntarios de #NRGPeoplePower ayudaron a la familia Greninger a instalar paneles solares y comenzar a generar ahorros energ\u00e9ticos.<\/p>\n

En San Francisco, 11 voluntarios de NRG finalizaron la semana instalando un sistema de 3,1 kilovatios para la familia Wu, que se mud\u00f3 a la Bah\u00eda de San Francisco desde China buscando un futuro mejor para su familia. Recientemente cambiaron el tejado de su casa mediante un programa de reconstrucci\u00f3n de tejados de la ciudad y quedaron encantados al empezar a ahorrar dinero en sus facturas de energ\u00eda.<\/p>\n

\u00a1El voluntariado y el apoyo filantr\u00f3pico de NRG durante la semana positiva de NRG ahorrar\u00e1 a estas cinco familias $164.000 en la vida \u00fatil de los sistemas y evitar\u00e1 340 toneladas de emisiones de gases de efecto invernadero, lo que equivale a plantar casi 7.600 \u00e1rboles!<\/p>\n
