El mes pasado, tras cambiar su puesto de trabajo por una terraza, pudo experimentar su primera instalaci\u00f3n solar con GRID \u00a1Lee su entrada de blog invitado para conocer c\u00f3mo venci\u00f3 su miedo a la altura y se enfrent\u00f3 a un nuevo desaf\u00edo!.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Mientras daba los primeros pasos por la escalera y miraba el suelo debajo de m\u00ed, pod\u00eda sentir c\u00f3mo mi peque\u00f1o coraz\u00f3n lat\u00eda a trav\u00e9s de mi chaleco amarillo brillante y de mi camiseta GRID. Me dije: esto es m\u00e1s grande que tu miedo. Durante dos d\u00edas, mi primera experiencia instalando paneles solares tuvo lugar en el Peninsula Park de East Palo Alto, una vivienda multifamiliar de cuatro plantas \u2013el proyecto solar m\u00e1s grande de GRID en la zona de la Bah\u00eda. A\u00fan estaba fr\u00edo \u2013la capa marina segu\u00eda presente \u2013 pero la sensaci\u00f3n que tuve al pisar el tejado arenoso fue incomparable. Cerrar los sujetadores, utilizando una herramienta el\u00e9ctrica, fue a\u00fan m\u00e1s emocionante. Fue una indicaci\u00f3n directa de que estamos realizando un cambio inmediato en estas viviendas y en las vidas de sus habitantes.<\/p>\n<p>Al final del d\u00eda, no fue un esfuerzo f\u00e1cil. Nunca hab\u00eda estado tan cansado en mis \u00faltimos a\u00f1os hasta el primer d\u00eda de instalaci\u00f3n de la energ\u00eda solar. Cuando se estira durante la charla de seguridad, es mejor estirar esos m\u00fasculos \u2013 todos ellos \u2013 en las piernas, los brazos, el cuello, los dedos de los pies, todo. Cuando te dicen que levantes con las piernas, mejor que lo hagas. Cuando dicen: \u201cno camines hacia atr\u00e1s\u201d, no camines hacia atr\u00e1s! Y por supuesto, siempre lleva tu casco de protecci\u00f3n. La seguridad era fundamental tanto antes como despu\u00e9s del almuerzo cuando la capa marina se disip\u00f3, el sol brillaba sobre el tejado y los m\u00f3dulos y el metal exacerbaban la temperatura circundante. Me di cuenta de que me sent\u00eda cansado por un momento y me di cuenta de que estaba deshidratado. Siempre mant\u00e9ngase hidratado antes de que sea demasiado tarde! <\/p>\n<p>En general, fue definitivamente un cambio interesante y emocionante desde hacer mi trabajo diario en la oficina central como miembro del programa SolarCorps for Workforce Development and Volunteer. \u00bfTemor a los altos? Ya no sab\u00eda qu\u00e9 era eso, especialmente despu\u00e9s de respirar un aire fresco y limpio de la zona de la Bah\u00eda y de pasar un d\u00eda soleado con estos m\u00f3dulos y la gente que me rodeaba.
