Para Heidy Garcia, miembro del programa SolarCorps Construction que trabaja en la oficina de GRID SoCal en Los \u00c1ngeles, la beca y el retiro han sido un recordatorio de que \u201cLa direcci\u00f3n en la que estoy avanzando es la correcta\u201d.\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Despu\u00e9s de sufrir una lesi\u00f3n en la rodilla al principio del programa, Heidy cambi\u00f3 su enfoque y se inscribi\u00f3 en la escuela para obtener una licenciatura en ciencias y obtener su tarjeta de estudiante de tiempo parcial. \u201cMi objetivo final es lograr estabilidad financiera y riqueza generacional para m\u00ed y mis dos hijos\u201d,\u201d<\/strong><\/em> Ella comparti\u00f3, enfatizando la importancia de la fortaleza interior, la compasi\u00f3n hacia uno mismo y la confianza en uno mismo, especialmente como mujer en un campo dominado por hombres.<\/p>\n

Este ejercicio le ayud\u00f3 a comprender mejor sus fortalezas, d\u00f3nde quiere crecer y los roles que debe considerar a medida que avanza en su carrera profesional.<\/p>\n

En cuanto al futuro, tiene previsto aprovecharse de la Premio de Educaci\u00f3n Segal AmeriCorps<\/a> Para ampliar su formaci\u00f3n y expandir sus habilidades. \u201cQuiero seguir trabajando en organizaciones sin fines de lucro y muy probablemente seguir\u00e9 enfoc\u00e1ndome en energ\u00eda porque me parece lo correcto para m\u00ed.\u201d<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n
