La celebraci\u00f3n del 22 de abril tuvo lugar en la casa de Joshua Rodriguez y su familia en el barrio de Vermont Square. Cuando \u00e9l y su esposa comenzaron a buscar una casa donde pudieran criar a su familia, decidieron permanecer en el mismo barrio donde hab\u00edan construido sus vidas juntos.<\/p>\n

Rodriguez y su esposa, quienes se conocieron hace casi 20 a\u00f1os, tienen dos hijos, de 6 y 11 a\u00f1os. Como muchas familias, han visto c\u00f3mo los costos de la vida cotidiana aumentan y est\u00e1n buscando formas de reducir sus gastos energ\u00e9ticos mientras ense\u00f1an a sus hijos a usar los recursos de manera responsable.<\/p>\n

Con el apoyo de Comunidades clim\u00e1ticas transformadoras<\/a> Gracias a los fondos obtenidos, GRID SoCal ayud\u00f3 a la familia Rodriguez a obtener un nuevo techo, mejoras el\u00e9ctricas y un sistema solar de 6,3 kilovatios.<\/p>\n

Durante la vida \u00fatil del sistema, se espera que la instalaci\u00f3n ahorre a la familia casi $25.000 en costos de servicios p\u00fablicos y reduzca las emisiones de carbono en m\u00e1s de 20 toneladas. Esto equivale a eliminar aproximadamente cuatro autom\u00f3viles de la carretera o a plantar 477 \u00e1rboles.<\/p>\n
