Program and Workforce Coordinator
Islena Davila (she/her) is from Nicaragua. She holds a B.S. in Environmental Engineering and a postgraduate degree in Hydrology. Before joining GRID she was a watershed specialist in Nicaragua's National Water Authority, where she learned about water governability/ governance and SDG 6.5.1. In her career, she always knew she was committed to supporting and empowering local communities, women, and youth. At GRID Alternatives, she's excited to boost the IBT 200 solar training program for Nicaraguan women and to engage supporters to create impactful solar installations and solar-powered irrigation systems around Nicaragua.
