ILSFA Workforce Program Manager
Pooja Ravindran leads the Illinois Solar for All workforce compliance arm to make sure that developers of projects in the low income solar program meet their job hiring requirements, and thereby is attempting to create a sustainable workforce pipeline to engage and employ members of low income and environmental justice communities. Pooja spent four years managing utility-scale solar front-end development projects in regulated and unregulated markets in the southeast US. They believe that the clean energy economy must prioritize equitable access and participation in all levels of development and consumption, and actively include marginalized communities that experience environmental harm. In Pooja's "free time" you can probably find them knee-deep in a community garden or tinkering with their microcontroller.
