Juan “Pablo” Guerrero, joined GRID Alternatives as a SolarCorps. Pablo was born in Valle de Santiago, Gto., Mexico. At the age of two, Pablo moved from Mexico to the United States to a small town in the central valley called Selma. Pablo graduated from Selma High School in 2006. In 2007 Pablo worked at a slaughterhouse in Fresno from 2007-2010. In 2010 Pablo worked at a packing house in Kingsburg, CA as the receiving supervisor. In 2017 Pablo went to Milan Institute and completed 1,700 hours of cosmetology training. In 2019 Pablo heard about GRID Alternatives and took the opportunity to train in the IBT program. The experience and training from the IBT program helped Pablo get a job in the solar industry. Pablo worked for a profit solar company for a few months, knowing what GRID was about and wanting to work for a nonprofit, Pablo applied at GRID and was hired in September 2019. Pablo is very happy he will make a difference in people’s lives with GRID Alternatives. Pablo has a nine-year-old daughter and is happy that he can provide for her because of GRID Alternatives.
