Naomi Hawk

Naomi began working as a workforce training supervisor after graduating from the Solar Works DC program in 2019 and working in the private sector of the solar industry. She came back to GRID as a personal call to action because of her success in the program and her desire to help other trainees succeed. Prior to the Solar Works DC program, Naomi worked in conservation with the National Park Service. “Knowing that I’m giving back in service to areas that I live in—to my community—was a big reason why I got involved with GRID,” Naomi said. “I enjoy watching trainees advance to higher levels within the solar industry. Knowing that I’m a part of that, supporting people who look like me and who have faced similar challenges as me, is an excellent feeling. It’s priceless.”
