Sekou Whitecotton
Construction Assistant
Sekou has 5 years of experience in the construction field, primarily remodeling homes in the Central Valley for Kiser Construction. He relocated to Sacramento and enrolled in N.C.C.T. where he was introduced to Grid Alternatives. While participating in GRID's I.B.T. program, he fell in love with the culture and mission that GRID embodies. Sekou worked as a temp in the Bay Area, installing solar for the multi-family affordable housing projects. There he met and worked with the most amazing people. That's when he knew he wanted to be a part of the GRID Family. He is now a Solar Corps Construction Fellow in the North Valley office with the opportunity to learn the ins and outs of solar. Sekou's hobbies include working on cars, fishing, camping and being in the great outdoors.
