From the Classroom to the Field
Cody recently completed his first day as a GRID volunteer where he is continuing the hands-on job training that first inspired him to get into the industry. He volunteers along like-minded individuals that are sharpening their knowledge and skills, and even professionals that just want to give back to the community. Through his studies at COD and his training experience with GRID, Cody hopes to become a solar designer.

IE Solarthon is Coming to DHS on April 11, 2015
On January 24th, 2015, GRID Alternatives Inland Empire will be coming to the City of Desert Hot Springs, CA to kick off Solarthon 2015, This initial solar installation will be the first of 9, culminating in a week long installation event and block party the week of April 6 – 11, 2015. With the support of Mayor Adam Sanchez Sr. and the City of Desert Hot springs, hundreds of corporate sponsors, community organizations, job trainees, and individuals will come together to install solar for these hardworking and deserving Desert Hot Springs families during that week while increasing awareness for solar energy, healthy living, and raising vital dollars to support and sustain GRIDs work throughout the Inland Empire!

GRID Volunteers Land Solar Jobs!

GRID volunteers mixed it up with hundreds of solar companies, energy and other professionals at GRID IE's Green Mixer job fair held in conjunction with the Southern California Energy Summit networking reception this Fall. The spirited event brought together solar companies looking for qualified talent and our trained and ready-to-work volunteers. Our volunteers stood out among the crowd with the hundreds of hands-on solar installation hours they gained with GRID and left with super big smiles as they all got multiple job interviews!
