Interns are expected to work 16-40 hours per work week, depending on the position, for the duration of the Internship Program. Some exceptions may apply and work hours include evening and/or weekend hours.

Eligibility

Anyone interested in gaining practical experience in solar in a non-profit setting. Students (undergraduate and graduate) and recent graduates as well as emerging and seasoned professionals are encouraged to apply. Interns are selected upon review of a resume and cover letter and a formal interview process.

Compensation

Compensation is not provided for Internships. It is our philosophy that GRID IE and the Intern have a partnership. GRID IE provides the Intern with valuable trainings and learning experiences. In exchange, the Intern enhances GRID IE’s programs and services by providing fresh, new ideas and suggestions, and an extra hand to get things done.

College Credit

Many schools offer academic credit for Internships. Contact the school’s academic advisor, career placement office, and/or internship program office for information.
