OPEN LETTER TO THE GREATER RIVERSIDE COMMUNITY

Dear Friends of the Greater Riverside Community:

With the successful roll out of our NEW LOBBY and Bistro serving Startbucks coffee this year, Courtyard by Marriott Riverside is proud to announce the start of Phase 2 of our hotel improvement plan. All of our rooms will have new designer furniture, drapes, brand new carpeting, wallpaper, lighting, and more.

On a daily basis, we have been receiving inquiries to purchase our used furniture. Built with good materials and craftsmanship, the majority of our commercial grade furniture is still in great condition and should last years to come for most households.

Few weeks ago, I received an offer from a commercial liquidator to purchase all of the furniture. The company plans to do some touch up and sell them for a profit.

I turned down the offer.

It’s tempting to make thousands of dollars and get rid of the hassle.  However, we believe that we can make better use of the furniture by doing a Donation Drive For Local Non-Profit or Charity Organizations.

This is how it is going to work.

As a “BUYER”, you can browse our site for furniture and fixtures for sale. All furniture and fixtures will be VALUE PRICED starting at $8 per piece. Instead of keeping the proceeds, Courtyard Marriott Riverside will facilitate the DONATION to of one of the Pre-Approved Local Non-Profit or Charity Organizations of the buyer/donor’s choice.
