GRID Alternatives Inland Empire (GRID IE) was awarded funding from the Tribal Solar Accelerator Fund (TSAF) to solarize eight homes on the Chemehuevi Tribal Reservation in Lake Havasu, California. Of the eight low-income homes these tribal families will receive solar, four have already been installed.

Heidi is a certified home healthcare nurse and her husband works as a plumber. Her and her husband and five children moved from the South Bay area to Moreno Valley, California last year where they purchased a new home.

GRID also provides valuable job training that equips and propels trainees into a successful career in solar. Basem has amassed over 200 volunteer hours with GRID since he first started volunteering in early 2012.
