Javier Lara

Javier Lara grew up in San Diego county then Los Angeles County before finally making his move to Riverside. He and his wife have five children (3 boys and 2 girls). Prior to coming to GRID, he was in the food service industry for 20 years. He has worked as an Executive Chef for such restaurants as; Rainforest Café in downtown Disney, and Joes Crab Shack and McCormick & Schmick’s in San Diego. He was working long 16 hour days and wanted to find a profession that would allow him the ability to spend more time with his family. He found out about GRID through Riverside County Workforce Development Agency where he learned about the SolarCorps position and decided to apply. In his pastime he enjoys soccer, baseball and spending quality time with his family.
