About WE Build
GRID Alternatives Colorado believes that a world powered by renewable energy that benefits everyone must be built by everyone. That is why we are working to build accessible pathways for women to enter and thrive in careers in the trades and renewable energy.
Our two-day Women in Energy Build (WE Build) event is both a celebration of current women leaders in the renewable energy industry and an exploration of how this community can continue to grow and foster opportunities for the next generation.
WE Build participants will have the opportunity to install a real-world solar installation benefitting Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver alongside GRID Colorado's construction team. This "boots on the roof" support will be followed by an evening networking event that will include hearing from a panel of women-identifying leaders on building accessible pathways for women to enter and thrive in the renewable energy industry.

WE Build Event Details:
Solar Installation Day One
When: Thursday, September 19th, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Where: 430 S. Navajo Street Denver, CO 80223
What: Installing a solar system on Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver's new headquarters building.
Details: Volunteers will work alongside GRID construction staff to install a solar system. GRID will provide all necessary equipment, no previous training is required. Volunteers must wear pants and closed-toed shoes. Breakfast, lunch and drinks will be provided.
Women in Energy Networking and Dinner
When: Thursday, September 19th, 5 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
Where: Space Gallery - 400 Santa Fe Dr, Denver, CO 80204
What: An evening event to build a community of women working in renewable energy and support accessible pathways for women to access and thrive in careers in renewable energy.
Details: This evening event will be a chance to network and build community among women working in renewable energy. There will be a panel of speakers from women-identifying leaders in the renewable energy industry discussing their efforts to build equitable pathways for women to access and thrive in careers in renewable energy. Appetizers, beer, wine and dinner will be provided!
Solar Installation Day Two
When: Friday, September 20th, 9 a.m. - 3 p.m.

What: Day two of solar installation on Habitat for Humanity Metro Denver's new headquarters building.
