Maya Mariano
Workforce Development Program Manager
Maya Mariano is a San Francisco Bay Area native who moved to Southern California in 2018. She earned a bachelor's degree in Criminology and Criminal Justice Studies from Cal State Long Beach. With a passion for empowering underserved communities, she has been active in the non-profit sector since 2019. Maya began her career working on mentorship-focused programs for incarcerated youth in LA County juvenile detention centers. She then shifted to workforce development training programs in construction-related industries.
Maya thrives on being a catalyst for change, finding immense satisfaction in helping others and knowing that her efforts contribute to making a lasting positive impact. Maya is committed to fostering growth and creating opportunities that allow individuals to overcome challenges and achieve goals of all sizes.
Maya is a dog-lover and bully-breed advocate. When not at work, Maya is more than likely at a park or out on a long walk with her rescued Staffordshire Pit-mix, Summer!
