2014 was a great year for GRID Alternatives Greater Los Angeles (GLA).
Some of this year's highlights include a visit by EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy, our annual "Solarthon" in Santa Ana which included the installation of solar on 5 houses simultaneously by over 75 individuals; the launch of GRID Alternatives' national Women in Solar Initiative; our participation in the worldwide Green Apple Day of Service; and installing solar with Long Beach Mayor Robert Garcia as well as U.S. Congresswoman Judy Chu. Most importantly however, we served 186 families throughout the Greater Los Angeles region, with the help of more than 400 volunteers. Thank you all for making this year a remarkable one for GLA!
