GRID Alternatives Inland Empire Recognizes Community Partners at Fourth Annual Summer Solarbration

GRID Alternatives Inland Empire (GRID IE) recently hosted our Fourth Annual Summer Solarbration event. Each year, we recognize community leaders who align with our mission of clean, renewable energy that includes everyone. The following Sunshine Awards were handed out to our community partners:

Collaboration – City of Moreno Valley
Corporate Partner of the Year – Wells Fargo Bank
Environmental – Santa Rosa Band of Cahuilla Indians
Equity & Justice – Center for Employment Opportunities
Public Partners of the Year – City of Rancho Cucamonga
Workforce Development – Inland Empire Job Corps

This year’s Fourth Annual Summer Solarbration moved to a new venue, Escape Craft Brewery in Redlands, California. Attendees were treated to a delicious taco bar and refreshments, fun games and many cool drawing prizes. In addition to the awards program, guests were also introduced to our new Executive Director Jaime Alonso who greeted everyone and shared his background.

Congratulations to our Sunshine honorees and thanks to everyone who attended. A special thanks to all of our sponsors: Advisory Board Chair George Puddephatt, Castle Park, Fiesta Village Family Fun Park, Performance Riverside, Fox Performing Arts Center, AMC Theaters, Dave & Buster’s, Escape Craft Brewery, Lisa Castilone and ProAbition. Also, thanks to GRID Staff and Advisory Board members who helped to make this event a huge success.

We hope to see you at our Fifth Annual Summer Solarbration next year! Look for a save the date announcement in an upcoming issue.
