Sunshine Awards
GRID Alternatives Inland Empire is holding our annual Sunshine Awards to honor individuals and organizations who are advancing work that aligns with GRID’s mission to transform lives by providing access to clean renewable energy and hands-on job training.

The award presentation will showcase the launch of the Clean Tech Training Center (CTTC), to be commemorated with a ribbon cutting and recognition of the inaugural partnerships that have made the vision of the CTTC a reality!

Celebrate with us and enjoy the complimentary Taco Bar and drinks.

Thank you to our presenting sponsor Wells Fargo for the generous support that makes this event possible!
This week we gathered with our friends and partners at the LGBTQ Center Long Beach as they powered-on their 54-panel, 17.280 kW Solar System, which will provide $240,000 in lifetime savings to the center. The money saved can empower The Center to invest in other lifesaving programs and services to the local LGBTQIA+ Community.

A self-proclaimed nerd, avid reader, and documentary enthusiast growing up, Cureton found inspiration in the pages of inventor and engineer Nikola Tesla’s autobiography. Despite being born worlds away from Tesla—Black and in the home of Black Wall Street—he related to Tesla’s innovative ideas and that he did not fit in with the norm. “A lot of my interests weren’t really mainstream,” Cureton says.
