Everyone here at GRID IE wishes Angel Mejia all the best in his retirement!
Angel was a key member of the GRID IE construction team and recently retired after eight incredible years with us.
He has made a lasting contribution to our team and all the communities he has worked so hard to uplift.
Angel started with GRID as a volunteer on solar installations, and he discovered that he loved the work and the mission. So much so that he applied for and got an internship with GRID IE, which he followed up with a SolarCorp term. Angel was a great fit with GRID and its mission in the community.
Following his SolarCorps term, Angel was hired as a full-time member of the GRID IE team, where he rose through the ranks to become an S.I.S. (Solar Installation Supervisor), leading construction teams on our clients' roofs.
During his time with GRID, Angel was also integral to our training efforts, with trainees at builds out in the field and during classroom and lab activities at our Clean Tech Training Center.

At a lunch in his honor, Angel told the team he was looking forward to spending much more time visiting and traveling with his family.
