“I feel fantastic! It’s been a long time since I’ve volunteered like this. It’s educational and labor intensive,” shared Anthony F., a first-time volunteer at GRID IE and Senior Branch Manager at Pacific Premier Bank.
In October 2024, Pacific Premier Bank volunteers and GRID IE teamed up in Riverside, California, to install solar for the Hanan Family home. Through this Team-Building Sponsored Volunteer Workday, which funded support for GRID IE’s work, Pacific Premier Bank employees geared up and worked alongside GRID IE’s Construction Team.

After a productive morning wiring the combiner box and installing solar panels under the guidance of Danny M., the GRID IE Solar Installation Supervisor at the construction site, Anthony and his colleague, Jerry, enjoyed a GRID-provided lunch alongside the crew.
“They did great,” said Danny and the Construction Team, who are always ready to lead hands-on training with volunteers on the site.

“When I retire, it would be great to have new projects that allow me to volunteer and help the community—just like GRID IE does,” expressed Anthony with a smile on his face. To those considering volunteering with GRID IE, Anthony says “just do it!”
Installing this 1.95kW solar system will save 36 tons of CO2 from being released into the atmosphere, equivalent to taking 8 cars off the road or planting 598 trees!
Thank you, Pacific Premier volunteers, for helping us bring solar to our IE communities. We look forward to more installs with you.
