Monica Idiaquez
Outreach & Operations Supervisor
Monica is an Outreach Fellow at the GRID Greater Los Angeles office. She is originally from Los Angeles and prior to joining GRID she was an AmeriCorps VISTA member at Mujeres de La Tierra. Monica is excited to work for GRID because of the great work the organization does to increase access to solar for low income communities, and she is glad to be a part of it!
She is an avid reader, but she often finds herself with more books that she can possibly read. In 2016 Monica graduated from UC Santa Barbara with a BA in Global Studies and Spanish. Through her Global Studies education she learned about energy equity issues and then she became interested in how renewables like solar can help increase energy access, particularly to underserved communities.
