GRID Alternatives Inland Empire holds our annual Sunshine Awards to honor individuals and organizations who are advancing work that aligns with GRID’s mission and values to transform the lives of residents and communities, by providing access to clean renewable solar energy and hands-on job training.
We celebrates and honor different individuals and organizations each year who are advancing important community work in the Inland Empire Region.
In 2022 we have seven categories, and they are:
The Sunshine Award for Collaboration honors an organization and/or individual that creates partnerships and works collaboratively for the greater good of Inland communities.
The Sunshine Award for Environment honors an organization and/or individual that is advancing green practices and promoting the benefits of sustainability while creating economic wealth, mitigating environmental impacts and acting inclusively towards all segments of society.
The Sunshine Award for Equity and Justice honors an organization and/or individual that is advancing equity, inclusion, diversity and justice in our Inland communities.
The Sunshine Award for Workforce Development recognizes an organization and/or individual that is expanding access to green, clean energy careers and leadership opportunities in Inland communities, connecting people that need good jobs with industries that need good people.
The Sunshine Award for Public Partner honors an Inland Empire municipality and/or individual that is a strong advocate of GRID programs and offer innovative solutions to inform underserved residents about energy saving solutions.
The Sunshine Award for Corporate Partner honors an organization and/or individual that is a strong supporter and advocate for GRID IE, both within their company and externally to the community at large, supporting GRID IE's sustainability and impact.
The Sunshine Award for Solar Champion is a new award for 2022 and the future. The award honors an organization and/or individual that is a strong supporter and advocate for GRID IE's mission and values.
