Independence Day is July 4th and represents an excellent opportunity to highlight GRID’s vision that a transition to clean energy should include everyone. In the past, solar power has been out of reach for most under-resourced communities, even though families who live in these neighborhoods could benefit most from the savings. Through our Solar Affordable Housing Program, GRID has extended the availability of solar to nearly 9,000 income qualified families, proving sustainable power is within the reach of low-income homeowners.
