Despite this Covid-19 Pandemic, GRID’s construction team are still in the field facilitating solar installs in our communities, all while taking the necessary safety precautions. In March of this year, City of Fontana homeowner Wilda was one of the first homes installed with solar during this pandemic.
Wilda moved to Fontana in October 2018 from Lakeview Terrace. She was born and raised in California and grew up in Pasadena. She heard about GRID when she received literature in the mail and followed up to see if she qualified.
“I was very happy to learn that I qualified with GRID. I had researched other solar programs but didn’t pursue them. GRID is one of the best companies that I have dealt with! I have had major work done on my home and worked with many contractors in the past. GRID was perfect in their professionalism and very pleasant to deal with,” said Wilda.
Wilda practices energy efficiency in the home and always tries to conserve energy. She has shared the news about GRID Alternatives to her neighbors and friends, but said people don’t believe her at first when she tells them about GRID’s Energy for All no cost solar program. “I am very conscientious about everything, so friends and family usually take my words very seriously when I give them a referral,” she said.
GRID homeowners typically see significant savings on their energy bills when their solar is installed. Wilda said the savings will make it easier for her to be able to manage her household bills. She also said she appreciates the sustainability aspect of solar.
During the stay-at-home orders, Wilda said although she is in the house most of the time and only goes out whenever necessary, she looks forward to being able to entertain friends and family again.
