Helen Ma

Born and raised in Oakland, Helen felt the stars align when she found she could continue her passion for environmental justice and serving underrepresented communities working at Grid Alternatives. On this very website, she stumbled on the Outreach Operations Specialist position, which built on her previous experience as a Program Coordinator, planning and organizing events and workshops for the API community. With a background in Sustainable Agriculture & Food Systems and a focus on Food and Society from UC Davis, she understands a sustainable future requires multiple approaches and interconnected efforts and is excited to enter the renewable energy realm. She brings her love of advocacy, potatoes, and puns and hopes to make an impact for a more equitable future.
