GRID IE invited all the residents of the Eastside neighborhood in Riverside, CA, to celebrate Earth Day 2024 and meet and greet with us and our partners on April 18th at the historic and beautiful Cesar E Chavez Community Center.
Samantha Marino - GRID IE Senior Outreach Coordinator lead the team for the event - which provided free food for all, sourced from a local Eastside Favorite Deliah's, a kid's entertainment table, and friendly, no-pressure access to great information about not only GRID IE's program for no-cost solar to income-qualified Eastside residents but also to programs available to them from our Eastside Climate Collaborative partners Tree People, Riverside Community Health Foundation (RCHF), and the City of Riverside.

A wonderful evening was had by all, with lots of new friends made and new relationships with the community formed. The Eastside Neighborhood is one of Riverside's oldest and largest residential neighborhoods and has been a part of the City since its founding in 1870. GRID IE is proud to serve the Eastside residents and looks forward to many more community events as we continue to install no-cost solar in this remarkable neighborhood, which is so close to our facility.
