Claire Lion

Claire grew up in Upstate NY near the Adirondack Mountains! She currently works in the Outreach department as a SolarCorps Fellow. She has a degree in Sustainability Studies from Stony Brook University and discovered her passion for the outdoors while studying in Madagascar. A service term with AmeriCorps brought her to San Diego to do conservation and restoration work prior to coming to GRID. She is passionate about advancing environmental opportunities in our communities, especially those that are centered in equity, and she is beyond excited to be learning from and working alongside everyone at GRID. Outside of work, she likes to bring her passion for the environment to her daily life through bikepacking, cooking vegan food, and tending to her small yet beautiful balcony garden.
