It took four years of convincing, but finally Brenda Chambers is going solar. “I’m old school,” says Ms. Chambers. “I had my son telling me to get panels, I had my neighbor telling me to get panels, but I was just a little skeptical.”
It was her latest energy bill that actually caused Ms. Chambers to take the plunge and call GRID Alternatives. “It was almost $400!” Ms. Chambers says. “I’m retired now and that kind of expense simply cannot happen anymore.”
Ms. Chambers shakes her head as she talks about her new financial predicament. “It’s been a change, I’ve really had to tighten my budget up.”
Recently returned from a 3 week trip to South Africa, solar will ensure Ms. Chambers can continue to enjoy her retirement on her own terms instead of worrying about her monthly bills all the time. “Africa was my first big trip since I retired. I want to travel as much as I can, anywhere and everywhere.”
