Love letter from the Carter Family

It's the homeowners that really make the work that we do come to life, both for our staff and for our volunteers. Sometimes they make us amazing lunches. Sometimes they send us letters. Sometimes they do both. This card came to us recently from the Carter family, whose system was installed by a group of volunteers from Enphase Energy, which has generously donated both microinverters and nearly 1600 hours of employee volunteer time to GRID to help make solar happen for hundreds of families like theirs. They asked us to share it with everyone who worked on the project, but we thought it would be inspiring to all our hardworking volunteers:

"To everyone who helped us get and install our awesome solar panels:

Thank you so much for helping to make our solar dream come true...On January 28th, PG&E installed our net meter, and on January 31st, our friends at GRID Alternatives installed a special breaker we needed to get our panels up and running. They flipped the switch and those fabulous panels everyone worked so hard to install finally started producing electricity for us! Woo hoo!

Since then we've been checking Enphase's Enlighten website constantly to see how the panels are doing...We have already produced enough electricity to power 6 houses for an entire day!

...Thank you, thank you, thank you a million times over for the part you played in helping us out. We really appreciate you!"
