Tong Xiong
SolarCorps Construction Fellow
Tong Xiong is currently a Constructor Fellow at GRID Alternatives, Central Valley. His service term is 11 months long, which began on September 18th, 2023. During his service, Tong will assist the Construction Department with all the various projects that GRID Alternatives is currently involved with.
Before serving with Solarcorps, Tong was a cook at Olive Garden. He was responsible for cooking and preparing all the delicious items on the menu. Like most restaurants, he started from the bottom as a dishwasher, then quickly earned his way up.
Before Olive Garden, Tong was a stay-at-home dad. He’s a father to 5 children and the two younger ones he’s co-parenting with their mother. When he is not raising his kids, he’s raising his animals. On their property, they have vegetables growing, and for meat, they have pigs, chickens, and goats.
