The rumor has it, the solar industry is booming. Tony Vargas was intrigued to hear this from multiple people. Seeking more information, he enrolled in the William Maguy School of Education through Proteus Inc. After hearing about all of the wonders of the Solar industry, Tony says he was hooked. As part of the curriculum in his Proteus class, he attended installations with GRID to gain hands-on experience and education. Tony enjoyed learning with GRID so much, he came back to volunteer even after he completed his class!
Tony says he had an amazing experience volunteering with GRID. “Grid has such great people to work with you and educate you about solar; great staff and great installers to learn from. I learned discipline, organization, and teamwork from them. It has prepared me for the opportunity I have now with the Laborer's Union.”
Tony is very excited about his future with the Laborer’s Union. With his Certificate in Photovoltaics earned through Proteus, and the hands-on experience he gained with GRID, Tony is geared for success and has high hopes that he will advance and grow within the Union. Also encouraged by other job leads he has in the Solar industry, Tony is unstoppable and seeing nothing but green in his future stating, “God willing, I will succeed and excel no matter what the job may be.”
