Twenty-five-year-old Michael Morales was born and raised in Fresno, California. With six siblings all together, Michael was the second youngest. He's happily married to his lovely bride, and they have two sons together. He enjoys spending time with his family, who likes road trips when time permits. Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk was the last place they visited, and before that, Yosemite National Park.
Michael first heard about GRID Alternatives through a staff member who is also his sister and has inspired him throughout the years. But it wasn't until recently that his journey took a turn that landed him at our doorsteps. He decided to attend Installation Basics Training (IBT 200). Initially, he thought it would be hard, and the classroom intimidated him. He enjoyed all aspects after getting to know his cohort and the instructors better.
Thanks to our generous partners at WestCare, he graduated from IBT 200 on December 8, 2023. On February 2, 2024, Michael entered the solar industry. Not every day do we get kids in the photo for the tool-bag handoff, but we're grateful we did. Not only will Dad be pinned up on the wall of success, but he'll have his boys with him.
On behalf of GRID Central Valley, we honor and celebrate Michael Morales. Thank you for coming to GRID, and we hope you'll go far in your new solar career.
