The holidays are just around the corner, beginning with a season of thanksgiving. GRID Alternatives (GRID IE) is thankful to continue with the mission of making clean renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities everywhere. Accomplishing this immense goal requires the support from GRID’s many community partners, supporters and funders.
The season of giving for local nonprofit organizations in the Inland Empire will kick-off with the Fifth Annual Give Big San Bernardino on October 30, 2018. This is a 24-hour online fundraising event where local not-for-profits participate to raise money for their organizations. This year, GRID IE is seeking support to continue to provide vital resources of sustainable energy and job training through its Tribal and Solar Futures programs. To date, GRID has provided 253 tribal families with no cost solar and 640 students have received job training through Solar Futures.
GRID IE has had a significant economic impact in the Inland Empire since its inception in 2011. To date, 345 families have received no cost solar systems, which equates to over 10 million dollars invested in San Bernardino County.
GRID appreciates your continued support, and invites you to assist with continuing to carry out the vision of clean, renewable energy that includes everyone, by making a donation today! Please visit our Give Big donation page. Giving Tuesday will take place on November 27th and you will have until December 31st to make your taxable donation before the close of 2018 fiscal year.
